SEPTEMBER PRAYER SPACE

Praying hands

We have now held four prayer space sessions and in response to helpful feedback a couple of  things have changed. As well as being available on the church website, a small selection being in INsight, the prayers will now be circulated to homegroup leaders for use throughout the month. The next Prayer Space will no longer be on a Wednesday evening but both sessions will be held on the second Tuesday of the month so a new diary/calender date:

Tuesday 11th October 10 -11.30am
And on the same day 7-8.30pm

Be encouraged by the sixteen or so church friends who have already been involved in preparing prayers for SBC since July. Please also remember those who are preparing prayers to guide us through October.

‘Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. ”Phil 4:6-7 New King James Version
Ephesians 2:10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
“Seek (inquire for, require and request) the peace and prosperity (welfare) of the city to which I have carried you...Pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.” Jeremiah 29:7
Most of us including young people are facing difficult situations, but today we can take comfort in Jeremiah 29:11.
"Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever" Psalm 23:6
What we have heard and known,.......We will not hide them from their children; we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, his power, and the wonders he has done. Psalm 78: 3-4
“The earth is the Lord’s, and all that is in it, The world, and those who live in it” Psalm 24.1
13 Then the people brought their little children to Jesus so he could put his hands on them and pray for them. His followers told them to stop, 14 but Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me. Don’t stop them, because the kingdom of heaven belongs
Psalm 25: 4-5 Show me your ways Lord, teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are my God my Saviour and my hope is in you all day long.
‘This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.’ 1 John 5:14
He called a little child to him and placed the child among them. And he said, “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 18:2-3(NIV)
