Children and Families Work

Hi everyone If you get no further, PLEASE make a note in your diaries for a very important event. Our All Age Nativity will be occurring on 17 December. We need you to search out your costumes for one of the following roles and you can choose, it really doesn’t matter how many we have of each:
Mary, Jospeh, donkeys and camels, shepherds, angels, stars, wise men and innkeepers.

If this doesn’t appeal to you, how about helping to organise our Picnic in Bethlehem after the service. Do come and speak to Rosemary Stone or myself and we can help you with any ideas. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to share a simple picnic together on that morning as a family!

If you’re thinking that this all sounds a bit familiar, yes, we’re off to Bethlehem, but there is a new twist in this adventure!

Reaching out
I spoke about preparing for an assembly last time and I’m pleased to say that the Quest Primary school has called me back for another assembly and I’m looking forward to sharing some thoughts on ‘Advent’ shortly.

On 7 November Pre-school and I set up a coffee morning café for the new parents. We had a valuable time in conversation and as it was so well attended, we are planning another one in January. From now on I look forward to supporting the Pre-school nativity with some of their rehearsals as well as popping in to share a story or two.

Adventure Tots enjoyed making some poppies and you may have seen their window display in the sanctuary.

This week, at Adventure Tots, we are celebrating ‘National Nursery Rhyme Week’, and the team have suggested a dress up day. (pictures to follow!!). We are looking forward to sharing the Nativity story with them soon, and of course we will be finishing the term with a Christmas celebration. Looking forward to sharing more about the ‘All Age Nativity’ very soon.

God Bless Hilary
