IMPORTANT - Safeguarding Training
If you volunteer at SBC watch this space as our next dates for training updates will be coming up in the new year. The Baptist Union requirements have changed so that 'all leaders and volunteers complete Excellence in Safeguarding training every four years'. This Level 2 training is three hours every four years, which is significantly less than it has been.
We appreciate that some people are getting Safeguarding training annually through their employer or have completed level 3 for SBC or elsewhere, but if you are approached to do it, repeating Level 2 Safeguarding training every four years still applies, even if you have already done Level 3 either at work or for SBC. So lookout for your invitation in the new year.
