Children and Families Work

Adventure Tots
We are grateful to be returning on September 13th and 14th from 10am–11.30am. Our cupboard has been cleaned, reorganized and it is much easier to find what we need for at least a few weeks! A new payment system has arrived for us to learn which many toddler groups have, and I know our visitors will appreciate. Do let me know if you are interested in joining our team, or just want to pop in one morning.

Sunday Club (4–11 years)
This has continued over the summer and to make it a little different, we have been using food to illustrate some Bible stories. Our final week was based on God using Moses to rescue the Israelites out of Egypt. The children made lamb burgers which were put into flatbreads he also sent Jesus for us. I’m grateful for our volunteers who made this possible (Tim, Marilyn, Pat, Desrine and Judith) September is now here and thankfully our wonderful team has reappeared, hopefully refreshed and ready to begin a new term. We are grateful for any help and if you can spare a Sunday morning, do let me know if you would like to join the team.

  • Creche meets in the coffee lounge.
  • Story Tellers (4–6s) has moved to the small hall upstairs.
  • Sunday Club (7–11s) runs in the main hall upstairs.
Future Events
As we look towards the next few months and thank God for his provision, I’m hoping to build on our ‘All change’ day. A good number of us stayed after the service to interact through games, food and conversation. There was also the opportunity to spend time in reflection with some practical prayer activities at the back of the sanctuary.

Care for the Family are hosting an event on the 12 October which Katie and I will be attending. This is a wonderful organization and if you would like to come along do check out the separate details in INSight (see pages 6–7) or talk to one of us asap. Please pray for our families that they may know God sustaining them as they build new routines and adjust to changes at school.
