COVID-19 Period Updates

May 2021

With the current easing of restrictions, you can join us for worship at home or in the church building. Parts of the service are pre recorded, and partly live streamed from the church building. In order to maintain social distancing to join us in the building you need to book by the preceding Thursday

The YouTube broadcasts of services and the Zoom Foyer discussion times continue as usual - see the Sunday Services page for links and how to book if you want to join us on the premises.

SBC is regularly monitoring government and NHS advice regarding Coronavirus.

Many offline activities are suspended until further notice.

You can continue to keep in touch with SBC through this website, including audio recordings of our sermons which are found here, through the church’s YouTube channel, and social media including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

We will be maintaining telephone contact with our older members, and will be using social media  to maintain our spiritual togetherness - please watch this page and the Facebook page for details.
Links to our Social Media pages are at the foot of this page.

Isolated or need support?

If you go into isolation and need shopping or prescriptions collected or letters posted and don't have family or friends close by to do it, let Hilary Howard or Ruth Manson know as we have plans in place for volunteers to shop for our church family, either the weekly shop or odd forgotten or missing items.

In addition, if you are over 70 there is information on Facebook Operation Selsdon Support or call the Contact office (020 8651 4944) if you are a client or want to be, as they will be ringing round people who may need shopping to tide them over. They have a long list of people who they are prioritising who they will deliver a bag of essentials to.
If you are a family, couple or single and under 70 years and your situation has changed due to the Coronavirus and you are worried about getting enough food, please also let Hilary or Ruth know as we have information about what's available for you in the area.
