Roland has been our Youth Minister since September 1st 2005. He is married to Melanie and has two young daughters. He leads the Gravity and Rock Solid youth Groups, and encourages the young people to attend the weekly Drama youth Group, youth band, Higher Definition study group and in leading the monthly Ignite Cafe style church.

Originally from Somerset, Roland studied at the University of the West of England where he completed a Media and Culture Degree. Before moving to Selsdon he and his wife lived in South Wales for two years where Melanie worked as the children’s worker at Cwm Salvation Army and Roland was a voluntary youth worker whilst completing his degree. Roland has co-led mission weekends in Somerset, has lead an inter church youth group in Bridgewater, and worked with the teenagers at Cwm. He has done extensive work on Christian youth and music culture.
