Two quotes that I wanted to share with you to show how much my son enjoyed himself were:

"Mummy, you must not book our holiday when Summer Fun Days are on next year because I love it!"

"I think I might cry on Friday when it is all over."

You provided so many interesting, fun and exciting activities for the children in a wonderful atmosphere. It was so lovely to join you all for the evening of Fish and Chips to gain an insight into what the children had been doing. I too had a great time. Throughout the week we were all made to feel so welcome.

I would like to express my sincere thanks to all involved - what a busy week you had that was fantastically

organised. ’

Summer Fun Days August 2010

‘ROCKY’S PLAICE’

We had a really fabulous children’s week this summer, with the usual songs, games, craft, fun with food, drama and jokes!

During the week we looked at the stories of the life of the Early Church as we find it in the Bible. The activities were all set in a fish & chip shop where we focused on the disciple Peter and how his knowing Jesus changed his life, and then how Peter and his friends changed the world!

During the course of the week 156 different 5-11s came to be part of the festivities. In addition to this we had over 80 different Under 5s come along with their parents and carers. Each day we had between 200 and 250 guests, which is fantastic. It really is great to have finding more room as your biggest problem …

We also invited the children and their parents to come and join us for some fish, chips and games on the Thursday evening. Not being sure how many would come along we ordered the food and waited … but we had to go and get more when 200 people came together to enjoy the evening. God is very good indeed.

We had over 40 people who were part of the team during the week, and everyone works so well together to make it all happen.

We’re looking forward to 2011 already …

‘Thank you so much for running the holiday club this week. My boys had great fun learning about Jesus and enjoying making new friends.

I’ve never known them so enthusiastic about this sort of activity before …’
