Summer Fun Days

SUMMER FUN DAYS 2011

Monday 1st - Friday 5th August

Summer Fun Days is our annual Holiday Club, with an action-packed programme for children who are at Primary School, and excellent facilities for younger children and their parents.

This year we had a Mission Rescue theme, which lookied at how God rescued the Israelites from Egypt, and how God continues to rescue people everyday through Jesus.

Each day there was a chance to engage in missions, crack codes, invent secret signals, make disguises and  do it all whilst making a lot of mess, noise, and laughter!

We had a really excellent week!

With over 60 people on the team we were delighted to welcome 171 different 5-11s during the week, as well 88 babies and      toddlers, along with their carers!

HOLIDAY AT HOME 2011

Monday 25th - Sunday 31st July  at Addington Road

Holiday at Home is a week of enjoyable activities for Seniors, which includes a host of fun games, craft, puzzles and quizzes as well as the chance to relax, meet people, and be treated to some excellent food.

This year was our 6th Holiday at Home.  Having previously travelled to the British seaside, an Alpine Village, a Stately Home, around the UK on a steam railway, and around the world on a cruise ship, this year we travelled to France.

We had over 35 different guests join us           during the week (our highest number yet), and we had over 40 people on the

Holiday at Home team.

It really was an excellent week, and we’re very grateful to everyone who played a part in making it possible, including all those people who donated display items, made puddings and other things that helped the week along.
