Selsdon Baptist Church Runners

Welcome to Selsdon Baptist Church Runners!

Selsdon Baptist Church Runners meet for fun, fitness and fellowship at 9 o'clock every Saturday morning at "parkrun", a free, weekly, timed 5K run at Lloyd Park

Parkrun caters for all ages, shapes and sizes (including accompanied children) and you run at your own pace. For more info on parkrun click here - www.parkrun.org.uk

Selsdon Baptist Church Runners currently have about a dozen members and friends; some who come every week and some who come when they can. We have members who've run marathons and members who've only just started (having followed the very user-friendly "Couch to 5K" programme).

Looking to get fitter? Looking for running buddies to encourage you out of the front door? Need half an hour now and then to clear your head and leave the mobile behind? Then come and join us!

For more info contact Micky Wheeler or Andy Crossley

"You make my feet run as fast as those of a deer, and you help me stand on the mountains"

Psalm 18:33

"Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders, and the sin that so easily entangles.

And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith."

Hebrews 12:1-2

SBC RUNNERS 1,000th MILE!

In the morning service at Addington Road on 13 January 2013, Andy Crossley gave an update on how the Selsdon Baptist Church Runners have been getting on.

The runners are a mixed bunch of church folk and friends, of varying ages and degrees of fitness.

They wear T-shirts with the church name and so present a great witness as well as getting some exercise and good fellowship.

The group as a whole have recently completed their 1,000th mile of running and to mark this achievement, Andy presented a trophy to Norman Robinson as Norman was the one who had completed that significant run!
