| In January
2005, Selsdon Baptist Church launched its Rainbow Vision. This
was the result of a process that begun the previous year with a
listening evening. Since then the deacons worked on
the thoughts and ideas of the church expressed on both the
listening evening,
and in written submissions. Finally
as a church we determined, from what we had heard, that there were seven key
elements to our calling and purpose as a church at Selsdon
Baptist. These seven elements are what we are about and they define our vision
of being God's people in this place at this time.
Each part of our vision has its own colour
of the rainbow:
|
To Reach out and Share our Faith |
|
To Serve those in Need |
|
To Pray and
Worship |
|
To Teach, Nurture
and Grow Disciples |
|
To Encourage
Through Fellowship |
|
To Support Global
Mission |
|
To Work with
Other Christians |
Our website is split into a 'zone' for
each part of our vision, and each zone
is colour coded to its vision colour. The
home page for each zone explains in more
detail that part of our vision. From
anywhere in the website, you can use the
coloured buttons at the bottom to jump
to the relevant zone.
We have a Rainbow Vision card which everyone has a copy
of.

At our Arts and Crafts Exhibition in 2006, one entry was
this superb rainbow from our
MADD club
children. Enjoy!
