Roland King - Youth Minister

Roland has been our Youth Minister since September 2005.

 

He is married to Melanie and has two young daughters. He leads the Gravity and Rock Solid youth Groups, and encourages the young people to attend the weekly Drama youth Group, youth band, Higher Definition study group and in leading the monthly Ignite Cafe style church.

 

Originally from Somerset, Roland studied at the University of the West of England where he completed a Media and Culture Degree.

 

 

Hilary Howard - Parish Nurse

Hilary Howard - Hilary is our Parish Nurse

She is a registered nurse with over 12 years’ community experience, and a valued member of Selsdon Baptist Church, Selsdon, South Croydon.

Who’s Who - Ministry Team

Our Moderator – Rev Graham Watts...

…who will help us with the search for our new Senior Minister.

Rev Graham J Watts, Bd, BA, MA, PhD, is currently tutor in Christian Doctrine and Ethics at Spurgeon’s College.  

Graham was born in the Croydon area and after school worked for a short time in industry before training to teach. From 1990 Graham served as the minister of Haywards Heath Baptist Church, latterly as senior minister in a team. In 2003 he moved to Cardiff to become the minister of Albany Road Baptist Church.

Graham has had experience as a moderator in helping two churches – Uckfield Baptist Church and Woodville Road Baptist Church in Cardiff – to settle new ministers.

Diane Watts - Associate Minister

Diane Watts

 

Diane joined us as an Associate Minister in September 2010 after spending time with us as a minister-in-training whilst studying at Spurgeon's College. Her passion is to see effective community built where people are able to meet with God and know the potential they have within the kingdom of God.

 

Melanie King - Women’s Ministry Leader

Mrs Melanie King was appointed as our first Women's Ministry Leader and took up her new responsibility officially at the end of April 2010. Mel was previously employed as our Children's Minister and brings a wealth of experience to this new role which focuses on supporting teenage girls and students, as well as reaching out to younger mums who are connected with the church.
