Harvest Festival

HARVEST FESTIVAL 2010

was on

SUNDAY 26th SEPTEMBER

from 10.30am to 11.30am

AT SELSDON BAPTIST CHURCH -, ADDINGTON ROAD

This was our ‘Back to Church’ Sunday, when we invited anyone and everyone to try going to Church. ‘Come as you are’ says that there will be a welcome for you, whoever you are. You may have been to church in the past, and you may have stopped going for a good reason. But now, for Harvest, COME AS YOU ARE!

AT SELSDON BAPTIST CHURCH, GREENVALE SCHOOL

We celebrated this day with a ‘Messy Church Harvest’

Harvest Festival Collections 2010

Every year we asked people to bring something with them to our Harvest service as a token of our gratitude.

This year we are supporting two charities that work with needy people in Croydon.

NIGHTWATCH’ supplies food and essential supplies for the homeless and those who need it most, from the Queen’s Gardens in Central Croydon on a Sunday evening. SBC has supported this work for many years.

This year we also collected items needed by the ‘LUNCH CLUB FOR THE HOMELESS’. This is run by our Church Member Sue Bedford and recently has lost vital Croydon Council funding because of financial cut-backs.

HARVEST PROJECT 2010

For our envelope collection this year we are working with International Needs to give a gift of love to Street Boys in Kenya. This includes providing food, medical supplies and an agricultural kit which will help them grow their own food, and bring in an income as they sell their goods at local markets. .
