Christmas - SBC @ Greenvale

On 10th December 2011, SBC @ Greenvale saw its third Christmas Craft Event which can now be considered a tradition!

The event was very well attended and attracted around 35 families (some familiar and others unfamiliar). As children cut and coloured, glued and glittered, parents whiled away a couple of hours relaxing with coffee and cakes. This was an extremely happy and fun-filled afternoon resulting in homemade Christmas decorations adorning many a home in the area.

In the two weeks following, people who live on Selsdon Vale were treat-ed to carol singing provided by a great number of (shivering) singers from both the Greenvale and Addington Road congregations who whole-heartedly proclaimed the Christmas message in song. As always, this was well received and appreciation was shown by many residents.

Christmas morning at Greenvale celebrated the birth of Jesus with a very meaningful and relaxed service put together by various members of the congregation. Twenty-five of us enjoyed carols, a Christmas message, the showing of presents, and a Christmas quiz. All in all, a very blessed Christmas period for SBC @ Greenvale!

Approximately 35 children and over 20 families had a creative time, lots of fun and festive refreshments.
