- said “thank-
you” to God for the beauty of the countryside around you? - prayed for those who work the land, and produce food for our use?
- stopped to listen to the song of a bird, and remembered that the God who “sees the sparrow” knows all about you?
- said sorry for the wastefulness and greed of our society, and the pollution of our environment?
- remembered that “all good gifts around us come from heaven above”?
For those for whom it was some time ago, we had a service with a difference on September 5th...
ON SUNDAY EVENING SEPT 5th
our evening worship took the form of
AN ENVIRONMENTAL PRAYER WALK
(led by SBC’s own “Green Group”)
We left SBC Addington Rd at 5.00pm and walked, with stops for prayer, returning to SBC at 6.00 when we shared in a brief service
of communion led by Mrs Diane Watts
