We had a great breakfast and an Inspiring Speaker
This year, thousands of men across the world gathered round tables in kitchens, churches,
cafes, pubs, hotels and train carriages to take part in the second Bigger Breakfast
Our breakfast speaker this year was:
ELNUR from Azerbaijan. Raised a Muslim, trained as a Muslim teacher, converted to Christianity, persecuted for his faith, becoming a Christian leader….
We heard from Elnur about the situation in Azerbaijan. Although the constitution allows freedom of religion, local prejudice means that Christians are often persecuted for their faith. The war in the nineties with ‘Christian’ Armenia didn’t help this.
Elnur told us his personal story and challenged our ‘comfortable’ christianity.
