Holiday @ Home 2008
 SBC’s
third ever ‘Holiday at Home’ saw all the crew and guests take a
cruise on ‘SBC Hope’. 29 guests and a healthy number of helpers
were part of a week which saw us dock in Japan, Italy, Greece
and Egypt without having to leave the comforts of Croydon!
Excellent meals, a great refreshment service, games, puzzles,
crafts, entertainment, and good helping of conversation over a
cuppa helped make the week relaxing and fun for all concerned.
It really is fantastic to be able to work with such an
enthusiastic and committed team to bring fun and joy to the
lives of people from our community. Two other churches are now
looking to borrow our materials, resources and ideas to begin
their first ever Holiday at Home!
We’ve holidayed at the British seaside, an alpine village and
now on a cruise ship - who knows where we’re going to end up
next year?!
