Carroty Wood 2008
On
11th
-13th July 2008 the young
people and 7 brave adult volunteers went on the annual youth
residential trip to Carroty Wood. The
weekend was really
exciting and helpful to build up their confidence and spiritual
knowledge, also to grow and learn more about the Christian faith
and a relationship with Jesus, as well as getting to know new
people. Throughout the weekend there was various sports
activities, worship, teaching and times to relax. The main
activities this year were the climbing wall, swimming, and the
low ropes assault course. The overall theme for the weekend is
Dr Who with the teaching examining “Living For God”.
On Saturday
evening there was a Talent concert where the young people
performed many talents. All this and more are available to watch
on the Carroty Wood DVD.
The DVD this
year comes at a cost this year: £1.50 to Carroty Wooders. £3.00
to non Carroty Wooders. All of the money from the
DVD will go towards the youth mission trip to Ghana 2009. Please
see Roland about buying these DVDS. They will be available from
mid September 2008.
